I can't explain it...a book lead me to a friend who lead me to you and then the ball started rolling. I completed a year long coaches training program, had no clients and spent alot of money. Yikes! I felt I had failed.

I was so impressed with Christian's Free Session program and the way that he did not have to be "slick" or perfect, that I took a HUGE step and flew out to San Diego to his retreat to learn to launch my coaching business.
Since then I've been able to add high paying clients to my schedule when ever I want.(A friend of mine thought I was just "visualizing" when I told him how much my clients pay me in full. Ha -no!)
Any time I get stuck, I get out my materials and repeat the things I learned at first, and I accomplish my goals. I only work with people I love, I work as much as I want to while we raise our four kids, and I make more money than I've ever made, doing what I totally enjoy.

I was offering "Abundant Yogi" online courses, MasterMind facilitation, and other similar programs, and they were all going well, but I noticed that every time someone would complete one of them, they'd feel like I left them hangin'... they'd ask for ongoing support and facilitation so they didn't lose all the momentum we'd created together as a group.

Hi Christian I can say that the biggest value I've received from Christian is his Free Sessions That Sell system. I have applied it to my own work, used what feels right, and I often get feedback about what an excellent process it is and how much the client has gotten just from that one conversation. I wish I had known about Christian Mickelsen's programs when I first decided to get certified in coaching. Christian's programs have all you need to be a very successful and respected coach and won't cost you an arm and a leg. His complementary session template is the best and I have never coached someone who did not want to move to the next level as the result of using that template. Christian is the best!!!
I started using Christian's Free Sessions that Sell about 6 weeks ago and find it much more in congruence with my values as a coach. It seems much easier to book clients with it and if they don't hire me, I feel good about what they leave the free session with. (I look forward to being so busy I will be able to charge for them soon.) I had been playing around with how I wanted my website to look and what I wanted to say. And then along came Christian's observations about asking your client for action, and my whole focus changed.
I love the new site that I am developing (I write all my own html/php) and the feedback I've been getting has been much stronger and more positive than anything before.
My client enrollment has risen incredibly by creating a format for my sample sessions which really gets me to 'yes' in under 20 minutes.

I don't know that I have really had any successes as of yet, other than realizing that while considering the reasons for wanting to become a coach coming to an understanding that I had too broad of a view for a niche market. It has been kind of like when I did my Master's thesis and had to narrow it down considerably. I have learned a lot by taking action and learning a bit about social media and creating a couple of blogs. One on corporate training issues and one on outdoor (camping 7 hiking ect...) experiences and information.
I think I have gained a little more confidence in the fact that maybe I do have something to contributed, where as before my thoughts have been "what do I have to give". For those of you who haven't done the TV challenge, I strongly encourage you to do it for 60 or 90 days. We have not had cable or local TV in our home for 4 or 5 years. We haven't missed it a bit. There was so much junk coming into our home, even in cartoons, that we decided to cut it out. You will be surprised the difference it will make in your home. I look at the comments that others leave on the blog and their goals and get inspired and overwhelmed at the same time. I don't know how to do a lot of the things that some of these folks are talking about, but I am slowly learning. I really need to speed the learning curve.
There is a strong employee mindset in my family binding us with security, and I want to help it break free and become more entrepreneurial. I think becoming involved with the things you provide and teach has helped me realize this a bit more.

Hello, we are Brad and Michele Felton. We are a husband and wife real estate investing, coaching and internet marketing team. We have been members of Christian’s coaching program exactly 1 year this month (May 2009). After my first group coaching call I implemented two ideas that I got directly from Christian's session: I offered a discount for paying in full, up front, for a 6-month coaching program (ex. pay in full today and get the sixth month free) and in case that didn't work, I had a group coaching alternative in my back pocket (I had never even thought about this option before).

I have listen to some of his lectures and what I have gotten that really sticks out is that I need to define my niche…clearly. While I have different services I can offered, he made me realize if I do not zone in on my main focus I’ll be all over the place and this will affect how good I become at what I do and attracting clients. So now I am working on defining my coaching services before I proceed. Because I did not have this defined, even my website is all over the place too! Chrisitan, I have been listening and sharing the info that you give with others. I have begun to recraft my vision of many of services and redefining my assets. My sked has been too jammed to actuate a new direction, but I am slowly moving in that direction. Actionalbe items: I have been using the term coaching in my circles to get response data and it has all been mildly curious. Reality: I do not see my self being able to afford your products or services currently. 2008 was devestating to my industry and 09 is looking like a slow turn around, so you may see me in 2010.

I’ve learned so much from you that I don’t exactly know where to start. All of the things we need to learn to create an information-based business can be overwhelming. Your coaching puts a structure to it, and your step-by-step approach makes it seem doable - And straightforward!
I decided to take advantage of your Free Month of Coaching offer to move my business forward as fast as I could. The fast pace you set has been very motivating. What I’ve accomplished since working with you (most of it this month!) is: • Given two local workshops for parents – all of the participants in the first enrolled in the second. It’s a small start, but encouraging. • Made two presentations and, after one of those, was asked to do another at a Wellness Fair. • Created my first free product to offer online • Started using a database management system, and set up autoresponders for my workshops and future products. • Created a landing page with opt-in for participants to start collecting emails and begin my eList – Yay! • Started writing marketing copy. • Created a MindMap for my product funnel with an online program. (Lost it! Starting over.) • Have written a list of my niche’s pains, challenges, frustrations. • I am writing/designing – workshops, articles, and a list of tips for parents (to use to actively create a presence in social networking sites). • Am designing my first group coaching program and will be launching it in June. • Am recording and transcribing my next workshop to use for source materials for articles and social media, and as a free audio product. • I just today hired a VA to help with some of these (including to start a blog) – just a few hours per month to start. • I feel much more comfortable in my business, and “know in my bones” that I am a great coach and have a mission to fulfill. I’m finally on the way! (Thanks to Christian’s training and clearing things that were standing in my way.:) • I’m having fun! • And for the first time I believe I will make it.
You have given away so much training and also so many assignments this month – you have really kept us on our toes. Which is exactly what I needed.
When your business is “finished” what will it look like? Clients on a regular basis – 10-15. Fees - $350 per month (I am dealing with artists who do not have a lot of available funds.
Other programs – talks to groups, write an ebook, media coverage.
What are some of the ways you will reward yourself for your successes along the way? When I hit 15 clients I will be able to bronze my sculptures, take workshops and painting trips. I will be able to help pay our overdue bills!
What will you see as the rewards of this successful; business – in and of itself? I will be doing something I like to do and that is to teach others. As a former teacher I have never stopped teaching whether it is kids or adults and I enjoy doing this. Life will be rewarding and meaningful as well as more relaxing being able to contribute to our income.
I've been reading Christian's e-mails and learning from him for a while now.
What I really like about his approach is his focus on the big picture. He understands that coaches can have multiple sources of revenue and how to create that with their clients.
This has led me to finish my first draft of my book, launch a new group program with 10 participants and increase the subscribers on my list by 500 in the last three months.
All of this came from just listening to one of Chris' calls. I can't wait to learn more. Thanks Chris.

During this period of free coaching I have: begun to determine my niche market, started a list of pain points for that market, and will be setting up a blog - actions I have not taken before (I thought about it a lot but never did it). What I have done so far may not seem very significant to you, but those are HUGE steps for me - a procrastinator, analyzer!

Hello, we are Brad and Michele Felton. We are a husband and wife real estate investing, coaching and internet marketing team. We have been members of Christian’s coaching program exactly 1 year this month (May 2009). When we started we had no coaching program, no students, no products, had never put on a live event, and no ideal where and how to get started.

As of today, we have 7 students and 4 of them have full paid. We also have put on live events, and this past weekend (May 16th and May 17th) we held a 2 day Real Estate Investing Using Web 2.0 Internet Marketing training session and had over 60 people attend the two day event. We recorded the event and plan to launch it on a national level in a few months at $1400 per home study course. At the training event we collected over 38 very positive testimonies. We also put together a special offer that we had 48 attendees to sign up at $147 a month for 3 months for a totally of $21,168.
Listen, we 100% know that none of this would have been possible so fast if it was not for being a part of the Top Coach Mastermind Group Coaching program. Everything we are doing is based on Christian’s model and the skills we learned in the program. We went from $0 dollars to well over 6 figures in our very first year in the program. ReplyDeleteAfter my first group coaching call I implemented two ideas that I got directly from Christian's session: I offered a discount for paying in full, up front, for a 6-month coaching program (ex. pay in full today and get the sixth month free) and in case that didn't work, I had a group coaching alternative in my back pocket (I had never even thought about this option before).
I just purchased Free Sessions that Sell and am looking forward to more great ideas, additional clients, and yes, revenue.

ReplyDeleteI have listen to some of his lectures and what I have gotten that really sticks out is that I need to define my niche…clearly. While I have different services I can offered, he made me realize if I do not zone in on my main focus I’ll be all over the place and this will affect how good I become at what I do and attracting clients. So now I am working on defining my coaching services before I proceed. Because I did not have this defined, even my website is all over the place too! I do not have any clients yet or the business set up but I am very hopeful. Christian is very good and generous with his knowledge and I wish him great success !

ReplyDeleteChrisitan, I have been listening and sharing the info that you give with others. I have begun to recraft my vision of many of services and redefining my assets. My sked has been too jammed to actuate a new direction, but I am slowly moving in that direction. Actionalbe items: I have been using the term coaching in my circles to get response data and it has all been mildly curious. Reality: I do not see my self being able to afford your products or services currently. 2008 was devestating to my industry and 09 is looking like a slow turn around, so you may see me in 2010.

ReplyDeleteI’ve learned so much from you that I don’t exactly know where to start. All of the things we need to learn to create an information-based business can be overwhelming. Your coaching puts a structure to it, and your step-by-step approach makes it seem doable - And straightforward!
I decided to take advantage of your Free Month of Coaching offer to move my business forward as fast as I could. The fast pace you set has been very motivating. What I’ve accomplished since working with you (most of it this month!) is:
• Given two local workshops for parents – all of the participants in the first enrolled in the second. It’s a small start, but encouraging.
• Made two presentations and, after one of those, was asked to do another at a Wellness Fair.
• Created my first free product to offer online
• Started using a database management system, and set up autoresponders for my workshops and future products.
• Created a landing page with opt-in for participants to start collecting emails and begin my eList – Yay!
• Started writing marketing copy.
• Created a MindMap for my product funnel with an online program. (Lost it! Starting over.)
• Have written a list of my niche’s pains, challenges, frustrations.
• I am writing/designing – workshops, articles, and a list of tips for parents (to use to actively create a presence in social networking sites).
• Am designing my first group coaching program and will be launching it in June.
• Am recording and transcribing my next workshop to use for source materials for articles and social media, and as a free audio product.
• I just today hired a VA to help with some of these (including to start a blog) – just a few hours per month to start.
• I feel much more comfortable in my business, and “know in my bones” that I am a great coach and have a mission to fulfill. I’m finally on the way! (Thanks to Christian’s training and clearing things that were standing in my way.:)
• I’m having fun!
• And for the first time I believe I will make it.
You have given away so much training and also so many assignments this month – you have really kept us on our toes. Which is exactly what I needed.

When your business is “finished” what will it look like?
Clients on a regular basis – 10-15.
Fees - $350 per month (I am dealing with artists who do not have a lot of available funds.
Other programs – talks to groups, write an ebook, media coverage.
What are some of the ways you will reward yourself for your successes along the way?
When I hit 15 clients I will be able to bronze my sculptures, take workshops and painting trips. I will be able to help pay our overdue bills!
What will you see as the rewards of this successful; business – in and of itself?
I will be doing something I like to do and that is to teach others. As a former teacher I have never stopped teaching whether it is kids or adults and I enjoy doing this. Life will be rewarding and meaningful as well as more relaxing being able to contribute to our income.

I've been reading Christian's e-mails and learning from him for a while now.
ReplyDeleteWhat I really like about his approach is his focus on the big picture. He understands that coaches can have multiple sources of revenue and how to create that with their clients.
This has led me to finish my first draft of my book, launch a new group program with 10 participants and increase the subscribers on my list by 500 in the last three months.
All of this came from just listening to one of Chris' calls. I can't wait to learn more. Thanks Chris.
